QLD First Home Owner Grant and Concessions Explained

1. First Home Owner Grant (FHOG)

  • $30,000 for new homes (20 Nov 2023 – 30 Jun 2026 contracts)

  • $15,000 for earlier contracts

  • Property value under $750k

  • Must live in it within 1 year for at least 6 months

2. First Home (New Home) Transfer Duty Concession

  • Full stamp duty exemption for eligible new homes

  • No value cap for duty purposes (home must be new or substantially renovated)

3. First Home Concession (Established Homes)

  • Stamp duty reduction on homes ≤ $800k (partial above that)
